Form Constancy in Stroke Patients
Kim Young-Geun

Kim Han-Soo
Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study were performed to investigate characteristics of Form constancy for stroke patients and to make clear main factors inducing shape constancy.

Methods : The subjects consisted of 25 stroke patients and 27 unaffected adults. In Experiment, artificially constructed 80 shapes using 3D Max graphic software and realized materials with superlab experimental program. Each 20 materials of all materials have 4 conditions (no depth cue, shadow, linear perspective, shadow+linear perspective depth cues).

Results : First, Patients was significantly lower than unaffected adults in accuracy grade(p<.01), and longer than in response time.

Conclusion : This result shows that stroke patients have main problem on Form constancy and depth cue can support shape constancy ability of stroke patients.
